This Surrey Hills home features a fabulous elevated merbau sun deck, taking full advantage of the position and view over the pool. This job came to us through a landscaping contact of ours who we have worked with before. He does great work transforming gardens and pool areas and we like working with someone who knows what they want and how to transform a space.
From the paved area to retaining wall and vice-versa, the owner wanted and unobstructed view with clean lines. Frame-less glass fencing with a step-down achieves this nicely.
We built our own concrete beam for the pool fence. This is tucked in behind the timber retaining wall holding back the garden. The concrete beam is reinforced with piers down to natural ground level. This provides a solid footing for the mini-posts. Without going to ground level, there would be natural settling over time and the pool fence could move or become non-compliant.
Retaining Wall Beam and Fence Details:
- Frameless Glass: 25m
- Gates: 2
- Spigots: Stainless steel
- Retaining wall beam: Solid poured, reinforced concrete down to natural ground level
No job is too complicated for us. We are happy to work with owners directly and with the trade on any pool fence or balustrade. We can help with ideas to fit in with your design.
